Job Summary
Staff Systems Engineer for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) in Melbourne, FL. Responsible for writing, interpreting, allocating and flowing down E3 requirements across design levels; presenting at design reviews to internal/external customers; developing E3 design guidelines; performing EMI analyses on components/subsystems/systems; designing ground systems, shielding, EMI filters, and interface circuitry to achieve EMC; preparing E3 test procedures/reports/analyses and participating in cross-discipline design reviews; contributing to E3 engineering processes, documentation, and protocols; training and mentoring less experienced E3 engineers; role requires coordinating with government/industry standards (MIL-STD-461/464, DO-160) and maintaining required clearances. Strong technical communication skills and ability to work in a team across phases of programs; 25% travel; relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience OR Master of Science in STEM with 10 years OR PhD in STEM with 8 years; ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance (interim secret to start) and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance; experience with MIL-STD-464 or MIL-STD-461; experience in RF, test or design engineering; ability to obtain/maintain required clearances; willingness to travel (~25%)
