Job Summary
Staff Systems Engineer leads design and implementation of complete systems for radio test, transit test automation, and military/defense applications. Responsibilities include defining system performance and verification of requirements, developing system specifications and I/O definitions, reviewing PCBAs and system-level schematics, identifying and resolving design weaknesses, ensuring compliance with certification and regulatory policies, and mentoring a technical team. The role also covers hardware sustaining and troubleshooting (PCBAs down to component level), updating schematics and BOMs, performing field or lab investigations, and developing/test automation software in VB, C, C++, and C#. The candidate will serve as a technical lead with customers, prepare statements of work and development plans, manage large programs, and drive process improvements. Strong analytical, communication, and project-management skills, with the ability to travel up to 20% (including international) are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of working experience in engineering, preferably in PCB test and test automation
