Job Summary
Conduct paediatric clinical services in a rural environment with 10 inpatient beds, 4 day surgery beds, and 4 Special Care Nursery beds, managing approximately 600 births annually. Lead multidisciplinary teams, supervise medical students on year-long and four-week rotations, and provide training and education aligned with NSW Health CORE values. Participate in an on-call roster and respond to site emergencies within a reasonable time. Promote patient quality and safety while supporting the $250 million hospital redevelopment scheduled for completion in 2025.
Required Qualifications
- Holds unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Paediatrician
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatrics at the role delineation of the service
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
- Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values, goals and strategies
Desired Qualifications
- RACP assessed substantially comparable Paediatricians that re exempt from any further examinations may apply and potentially be considered
