Job Summary
Staff Solutions Engineer to bridge stratospheric hardware and customer challenges. Architect mission profiles with customers across defense, telecommunications, and environmental monitoring; translate field requirements into actionable insights for Product and R&D; analyze the market to refine value proposition and support commercial strategy; lead technical demonstrations and pilot programs to prove ROI of near-space solutions; oversee payload integrations and ensure sensors perform optimally in stratospheric environments. Requires an engineering background (Aerospace, EE, Systems, or similar), strong customer-facing and discovery skills, and strategic thinking about pricing and competitive positioning. Preferred experience includes Commercial Imagery/Remote Sensing with SAR, EO/IR, or hyperspectral data; Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years experience with 4+ years in leadership; MBA, PMP, or related certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred
- 10+ years job experience preferred, with 4+ years as a technical or business leader
- MBA, PMP, Systems certifications a plus
- Strong background in commercial data sales or market strategy beneficial
- Experience with link budgets, payload integration, atmospheric conditions (stratosphere)
- Experience presenting and translating technical requirements for customers and internal teams
- Experience in technical demonstrations and pilot programs
- Experience in pricing and competitive models
