Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer on the Trust Service team responsible for architecting and operating the Trust Graph, owning API contracts and the data model, and driving reliability, security, and scalability at production scale. Will serve as technical anchor, set standards for code quality and system design, mentor senior and mid-level engineers, and collaborate with Identity, Authentication, Fraud, Workflow, Platform, and Compliance teams to align data model decisions and multi-team API changes. Requires leading architectural decisions, ensuring contract integrity, and delivering observable, high-velocity platform APIs used across federal agencies, state governments, healthcare organizations, and consumer brands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives
- Relational databases — schemas, queries, performance, safe schema evolution
- Experience designing and versioning REST APIs and owning contracts
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)
- Strong communication skills across engineering, product, and security stakeholders
