Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer to lead the evolution of Trimble's cloud infrastructure. Responsible for driving high-impact cloud migrations and architecture strategies across multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure) using C#.NET and ASP.NET Core, Terraform for infrastructure as code, and New Relic for observability. You will design scalable software solutions, mentor engineering teams, and shape the strategic roadmap for cloud systems while ensuring security and compliance. Bonus points for expertise in cloud security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR), Docker, and telemetry tooling (New Relic, Splunk). Location: Chennai, India. In-office role with leadership responsibilities across global engineering standards and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Eight or more years of professional software development experience focused on C#.NET and Microsoft SQL Server
- In-depth architecture expertise across multi-cloud environments, specifically AWS and Azure
- Proven experience leading complex, large-scale database migrations and compliance-driven transitions
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
