Job Summary
Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems in a hybrid NYC role. Responsibilities include building and delivering robust services, owning system architecture for distributed backends, and continuously optimizing performance. Mentor and collaborate with peers and junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical design discussions. Technologies include Kotlin, Python, Java, GraphQL, gRPC, AWS, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, ECS, Terraform, and related cloud-native tooling. Role calls for 7+ years of backend experience, strong emphasis on scalability, observability, reliability, and security, with on-site presence in NYC two days per week.
