Job Summary
Lead major initiatives and own a large area of Shepherd's product experience across data collection, automated underwriting, and policy administration. Drive technical decisions for your domain while working across the stack, from frontend React/Next.js to backend Node.js and GraphQL APIs. Take end-to-end ownership of features and systems, balancing innovation with pragmatic delivery and contributing to product strategy and architectural decisions. Collaborate closely with PM, the CTO, and the insurance team to ship high-quality products that enable fully autonomous underwriting workflows. Mentor other engineers as the team scales and help build our culture while advocating for ideas that improve construction safety and productivity.
