Job Summary
Join ARKA Group as a Staff Software Engineer, where you will be pivotal in managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment. You will design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include writing scalable code, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing performance, and overseeing the development lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience with Java, C#, or Python, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A strong understanding of cloud computing, agile methodologies, and active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- At least 5 years of Java, C#, or Python
- At least 1 year of Javascript or Typescript experience
- Active Secret U.S Government Security Clearance
- Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
- Experience in the development of unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality
- Experience in the development of microservices and RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of how to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with a modern cloud provider such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with modern front-end development using React or Angular
- Experience with Source Control tools (e.g. Git, Gitlab)
- Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Scrum software development methodology
