Job Summary
Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust distributed software systems at scale for a new Identity, Non-Human Identity, and AI Agents Security product. Lead the design of scalable, fault-tolerant systems that discover, analyze, and secure identities across complex enterprise environments. Build data pipelines that analyze, classify, correlate, and evaluate non-human identity tokens and permissions at enterprise scale. Design extensible, plug-and-play architectures optimized for high integration velocity with platforms like GitHub, Slack, and Salesforce. Serve as technical lead and domain expert, guiding technical direction, conducting design reviews, and mentoring engineers. Take end-to-end technical accountability from early system design trade-offs to ensuring high availability and fault tolerance in production. Partner with product and engineering leadership to align technical architecture with long-term business objectives. Drive continuous innovation across the software stack to solve complex, emerging security challenges in a high-velocity, agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering with a deep focus on backend architectures and distributed systems
- Proven track record of designing, building, and operating production-grade, cloud-native backend systems
- Experience building cloud-native products on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong experience building distributed architectures using messaging and streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, Celery)
- Strong database modeling and query experience with SQL Databases
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and gRPC services
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming models (e.g., asyncio, Goroutines) and production programming languages (e.g., Python, Go)
- Strong system design judgment with a track record of driving cross-team technical alignment and mentoring engineers
- Experience in the Cybersecurity domain, specifically Identity & Access Management (IAM), Secret Management, or Non-Human Identity Security
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or relevant military experience)
