Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer role focused on designing, building, and scaling low-latency trading infrastructure and APIs. You will own and evolve core components of REST, FIX, and WebSocket APIs, optimize data flows for high-throughput trading workloads, collaborate with product/infrastructure/frontend teams, and participate in on-call rotations. The role is based in London with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week (London office) and involves contributing to a high-performing, mission-driven trading platform used by professional traders worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience
- Proven experience designing high-performance, low-latency systems
- Cloud infrastructure experience, especially AWS
- Solid database experience: SQL (MySQL) and/or NoSQL (DynamoDB)
- Experience working on or with production-grade trading APIs or high-volume systems
- Structured thinker with strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
