Staff Software Engineer (Python/Go) - Collection Engineering

Job Summary
Implement innovative projects from inception to implementation, shaping the architecture, design, and development of new modules within SentinelOne's cloud-based security platform using Python and/or Golang. Manage data collection aspects for hundreds of billions of daily events, including EDR telemetry, XDR telemetry, and forensic data collection, while designing solutions across multiple strategic product lines. Lead projects independently within a multidisciplinary team that ideates and delivers scalable backend systems, micro-services, and data pipelines. This role operates within the Collection Engineering team, driving initiatives that evolve from concepts into products deployed across millions of endpoints. You will work in a hybrid environment in Prague, Brno, or remote locations, with Prague-based staff required to work from the office two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Multiple years of backend development
- Proficiency in at least one of: Python / Go
- Experience with high-performance micro-services-based backend systems
- Experience developing cloud-native solutions and data pipelines
- Experience working with Docker
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Experience working with AWS, GCP or other cloud platforms
- Experience working with databases (both SQL and NOSQL)
- Strong capability to design a solution according to product requirements
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work in hybrid and/or remote teams
- Proven experience with developing unit/component tests as part of the development process
- Hybrid work in Prague (Karlin), Brno (Clubco) or remote in CZ/SK
- Prague-based employees are required to work from the office at least 2 days//week
Desired Qualifications
- Kafka ecosystem (pub/sub, Kafka connect, etc.)
- Experience with large scale management systems and performance
- Terraform / Terragrunt
