Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer, Platform role owning the platform's API, events, data layers, and integration surfaces across internal teams and external partners. Architects event-driven, distributed systems for 24/7 operation with consideration for out-of-order events, retries, idempotency, partial failure, and eventual consistency. Designs data architecture, including schema design and migration paths; implements authentication/identity for multi-app systems; emphasizes reliability and observability with distributed tracing, telemetry, SLOs, and incident response; sets patterns for teams (CI/CD, testing, feature flags) and guides integration with partners and tooling including AI. Collaborates with product and operations to translate business needs into durable platform capabilities; mentors senior engineers and grows the bench for the scope of this role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years building and operating production systems including staff-level scope
- Deep .NET expertise: C#, ASP.NET Core
- Azure experience (App Service, Functions, Service Bus)
- Experience designing APIs, contracts, and integration surfaces at scale
- Authentication/authorization and federated identity (OAuth/OIDC, federated SSO, RBAC)
- Mastery of database design at scale
- Mastery of distributed systems
- Experience with Flutter or a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular)
- Experience delivering mobile apps for field or frontline users
- Geospatial, routing, or mapping experience
- Prior work in logistics or platforms with third-party integration
- Hands-on experience applying AI tooling (agentic workflows)
