Job Summary
Lead design and architecture for major features or components, determining approach and methods independently on complex, often ambiguous assignments without an established playbook. Partner with engineering teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation begins, while establishing and championing engineering best practices across the organization. Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to grow their technical judgment and scope of ownership. This Staff Software Engineer role requires deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies relevant to OneTrust's AI-Ready Governance Platform, including cloud architecture experience. Candidates must demonstrate a track record leading technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated track record leading technical initiatives that span multiple engineers or systems
- Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies relevant to OneTrust's platform, including cloud architecture experience
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar) in a professional setting, with genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to accelerate and elevate day-to-day engineering work
