Job Summary
Senior staff software engineer/tech lead for the calibration group within Latitude AI’s autonomous driving CALIBRATION team. Responsible for designing and developing novel calibration solutions that work in factory or unstructured environments across camera, radar, lidar, and IMU sensors, and for deploying calibration state monitoring across the product lifecycle. Work closely with Latitude and Ford leaders to ensure solutions are deployed smoothly, and mentor engineers to grow as calibration experts. The role emphasizes solving calibration challenges across sensor suites, influencing calibration strategy, and contributing to the safety and reliability of autonomous driving systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ with Master's, or 2+ with PhD)
- Strong mathematical expertise around calibration; experience with numerical linear algebra and optimization
- Strong C++ coding skills for real-time applications
- Experience with geometric computer vision, image, lidar or radar processing
