Job Summary
Staff Infrastructure Engineer with a hybrid software/infrastructure role focused on Kubernetes fleet architecture, continuous delivery, and platform improvements. You will collaborate across hardware and cloud teams to enhance the Skydio Cloud platform, influence architecture, security, and functionality, and drive cost savings as the product scales. The position requires deep experience in platform engineering/DevOps (6+ years), proficiency with Kubernetes (and related automation), and hands-on coding in Python or Go to fix underlying issues and implement CD/CI capabilities. Familiarity with both SaaS and self-hosted deployments, cloud networking, security controls, and resilient system topologies is expected. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a platform engineer, DevOps or equivalent infrastructure role
- Experience debugging and automating Kubernetes clusters
- Proficiency in Python or Go for code fixes
- Experience implementing continuous deployment systems
- Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, storage, and resilient topologies
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams including hardware and cloud
- Willingness to drive cost-saving initiatives and scale products
