Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure Asset Systems

Staff Software Engineer to build and expand Anthropic's infrastructure asset-tracking system. Responsibilities include designing the asset data model, lifecycle state machine, approval workflow, reconciliation with financial/procurement systems, and an ad hoc reporting layer; building integrations with financial and procurement systems; implementing and maintaining immutable audit trails and RBAC with least-privilege defaults; developing internal UI for accounting, audit, and infra teams to run reconciliations and reports; collaborating with cross-functional teams (accounting, audit, tax, finance, procurement) to translate controls and reporting needs into technical designs; establishing asset onboarding, data quality, and change-management processes as asset base grows; and ensuring compliance and governance across asset lifecycles. Minimum qualifications require proficiency in Go or Rust, front-end development experience, SQL experience, API design experience, and strong communication. Visa sponsorship is offered; location-based hybrid policy requires at least 25% in-office presence in San Francisco, CA. Annual compensation ranges listed: $320,000–$405,000 USD.
