Job Summary
Define scalable, distributed healthcare platform architecture and champion AI-First software engineering practices across the development lifecycle. Lead adoption of AI-Augmented Development, including spec-driven workflows, AI-assisted coding, and code reviews, while establishing governance for responsible AI usage. Design cloud-native microservices supporting healthcare interoperability standards like FHIR and HL7, and integrate Agentic AI workflows to improve engineering velocity and quality. Provide hands-on leadership in debugging, performance optimization, and design reviews, mentoring engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role
- Proven experience building large-scale cloud-native distributed systems using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI
- Strong expertise in Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby/Rails
- Deep understanding of microservices, API design, Kubernetes, Docker, messaging systems, and distributed architectures
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, or AI orchestration frameworks
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI coding assistants
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, secure coding, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, or CDA
- Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare security, and data privacy regulations
