Job Summary
Develop backend services, APIs, and C/R/U/D interfaces that expose data platform capabilities to end users while creating frontend interfaces for visualization and analytics. Deploy and maintain software across edge and cloud environments, collaborating with robotics engineers to integrate systems with the robotic operating system. Design user-facing applications and data consumption tools that connect robotics software, machine learning, and digital twin platforms for the Stargate autonomous additive manufacturing system. Contribute to internal tooling that enhances developer productivity and system observability within a cross-functional R&D setting.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience developing and shipping production-quality software with real-world operational constraints
- Proficient in whatever languages and tools you love most, and willing to learn new ones
- Ability to independently identify, scope, design, and execute software projects
- Understanding of databases, pipelines, and platforms, and how to write software that interacts with them
- Experience designing in collaboration with non-software stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing software for robotics or additive manufacturing applications
- Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS)
- Prior experience in a small company or startup where you owned software end-to-end
