Staff Software Engineer - Esports Platforms

Job Summary
Drive the development of Esports applications using web technologies while integrating with Esports and Game Services, providing technical guidance and hands-on code contributions. Lead the team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable engineering solutions by contributing to technical planning, architecture decisions, and setting engineering policy and standards. Partner with cross-functional partners including product, production, QA, and design to foster the Esports ecosystem, while mentoring engineers on technical and interpersonal skills. Participate in the on-call rotation to triage and resolve live incidents, proposing solutions through RCAs. Write clear documentation and communicate technical details across disciplines to shape the experience of professional and amateur competitive players.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering
- demonstrated technical leadership on complex projects
- Bachelor's, Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- comparable experience in software development
- Strong proficiency with web technologies
- working experience in Typescript
- working experience in React
- working experience in NextJS
- Have been responsible for driving the design and leading of development of large-sized efforts (6-month+ scope)

- Solid communication and collaboration skills

- Demonstrated examples of setting engineering policy and standards across teams or initiative

- Familiarity with Riot's Esports titles
- Familiarity with tournaments and tournament formats
