Job Summary
Own a business line as a one-person engineering team to build and ship AI agents for a specific business area. Stand up MCP servers and connectors, bootstrap skills and integrations on top of JLL's AI platform (LLM gateway, shared RAG services, MCP toolchain), and run workshops with business teams to translate workflows into agent capabilities. Ship agents leveraging Claude Agent SDK or MCP, ensure production readiness, and hand mature systems off to platform and operations teams. Must have hands-on experience shipping production agents and coding across Python, Node, or .NET, with familiarity across relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document stores. Excellent written and verbal communication, pragmatic shipping judgment, and systems thinking are essential. This role offers visibility across product, engineering, and business seams, with a focus on delivering high-impact, user-facing AI-driven capabilities in a Fortune 200 company; visa sponsorship is not provided; location is on-site in Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Shipped production agents using Claude Agent SDK, MCP, or an equivalent stack
- Production code in Python, Node, or .NET
- Experience with relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document data stores
- Experience operating end-to-end as a one-person team: design, ship, support, hand off
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable with non-engineers
- Pragmatic judgment on when to ship, harden, or hand off
- Systems thinking with focus on failure modes; AI writes most of the code, you own it
- Ability to run multiple agents in parallel as part of daily workflow
