Staff Software Engineer (DevOps)

Job Summary
Staff Engineer (DevOps) at Kaseya owns the full lifecycle of one or more platform services—from design through production deployment and on-call support—building reliable backend services in Go with emphasis on correctness and operational simplicity. You will design and implement integrations with SaaS APIs (M365, Google Workspace, Salesforce) handling rate limits, delta sync checkpointing, and failure recovery, collaborate on cross-service interfaces and data models, participate in design reviews, and set engineering standards. The role requires deep DevOps/SRE experience, Kubernetes operations, IaC at scale, CI/CD ownership, robust observability, incident management, networking and security awareness, Go or Python automation, and strong Linux proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of DevOps / SRE experience
- Kubernetes — cluster operations, resource management, custom controllers
- Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or Pulumi at production scale
- CI/CD pipeline ownership — GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD or equivalent
- Observability stack — metrics, logs, traces, SLOs/SLAs
- Incident management at scale — on-call, alert triage, runbooks, post-mortems
- Networking fundamentals — DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPC/overlay networks
- Security & compliance mindset — secrets management (Vault), RBAC, image scanning, audit logging
- Scripting proficiency — Go or Python
- Linux systems depth — performance tuning, storage I/O
