Job Summary
Staff Software Engineer at Cordova with an AI-native, Principal Engineer mindset. You own hands-on, complex code and drive architectural strategy while leveraging AI agents and tooling to explore, design, and build. Lead with AI governance, forecast long-term platform direction (serverless, event-driven patterns), and translate technical strategy into business outcomes. You will mentor peers, influence design conversations, and ensure clarity in execution. The ideal candidate masters TypeScript/Node.js and React, has deep AWS Serverless and Event-Driven experience (Lambda, RDS, SQS/SNS, S3, API Gateway, EventBridge), and continually applies rigorous evaluation of AI-generated output. Location is Omaha, Nebraska, USA; on-site work expected. Focus areas include architectural excellence, proactive problem solving, and aligning technical decisions with commercial realities.
