Job Summary
Connect mobile clients and backend engineering teams by driving mobile-friendly API design and implementation that supports offline-first architecture. Act as the primary liaison between Project Management, Quality, and Safety mobile experiences and backend groups to represent mobile needs early in contract design. Partner across backend, platform, and product teams to align on dependencies and standards before integration problems arise. Mentor engineers through code reviews and training while troubleshooting complex production issues at the mobile/backend boundary. Identify recurring friction points and organize solutions for low-connectivity field conditions. Master generative AI tools and agentic workflows to build the future of construction software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of combined software engineering experience
- proven track record of technical leadership

- Direct client-side (mobile or web) development experience
- Working fluency in backend development (Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Java, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong Test Driven Development background

- A systems thinker who enjoys the complexities of distributed systems
- pragmatic commitment to shipping working, high-quality code
