Job Summary
Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale and lead all card engineering in the EU. Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to manage technical sustainability and trade-offs. Define and advocate for operational processes, including monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, and alerting to support on-call efforts. Foster team quality through code review standards and lead by example in talent development. Maintain ownership of team operations and availability while driving experimental architecture work across stacks.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Proficient in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Proficient in developing front end applications
- Experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality in a system through the definition of a technical and execution plan
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team
- On-Call Rotation
