Job Summary
Staff Software Development Engineer with hands-on backend focus to design, develop, and scale our digital health platform. Lead architectural decisions, collaborate with architects, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to build data products that improve health outcomes for millions. Responsibilities include implementing functional, non-functional, and maintenance needs; ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability; integrating diverse components; creating and maintaining technical documentation; writing and reviewing tests; participating in agile processes; and supporting production incidents. Ideal candidate will be based hybrid in TX, RI, NJ, or MA offices leveraging a strong Java/Spring, microservices, and cloud background, with experience in TDD, CI/CD, and a customer-centric, collaborative mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in large scale software development
- 6+ years of experience in Java and developing services using Spring, Spring Boot, microservices and Rest APIs
- 5+ years of experience working with stakeholders, including Product Management, Engineering, and UX team members
- 3+ years of solid experience with OOPS and design patterns
- 1+ years of exposure to any of the leading cloud platforms (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
