Job Summary
Operate the AI decision engine to improve automation accuracy and update customer workflows when requirements change. Triage and resolve technical issues raised by customers and internal teams, then lead post-mortems for SLA breaches to drive preventive improvements. Work closely with operations engineering and customer success to establish priorities across multiple clients while contributing to internal tooling that drives service efficiency. Maintain runbooks and documentation to enable internal agent operations teams to become self-sufficient. Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation. This role bridges machine learning, product, and platform engineering capabilities to bring new products to market and re-imagine existing services for scale.
Required Qualifications
- Expert Python development experience and write production-grade code
- Experience bringing products to market - ideally taking a product from 0 to 1, or productising a service offering
- Experience re-imagining and refactoring systems and tooling so they scale reliably as a business grows
- Use AI coding agents as a core part of how you work, with hands-on experience of agentic tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex)
- Are an advocate of strong software engineering practices, standards, and culture
- Are still building hands-on and want to keep doing so for at least the next 12 months
- Can be based in the UK or alternatively anywhere within 3 hours of the UK timezone
- Participate in our 24/7 on-call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Have experience working in a startup or small team
- Are confident using AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience with workflow orchestration systems (e.g. Temporal)
- Can venture into Data Engineering, MLOps and/or Platform Engineering
