Job Summary
Staff Security Engineer I, Security Operations responsible for participating in detection and response workstreams, writing new detection logic, leading incidents, mentoring engineers, and driving automation with AI to scale threat detection and response. Collaborates across security and engineering teams, participates in on-call rotations, and contributes to strategy, tooling, and runbooks for detection and response. Requires extensive experience in security operations, incident leadership, and the ability to develop and operationalize detection rules and threat-hunting queries for web applications and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in a security role with significant incident response experience
- Proficiency in web applications and cloud technologies
- Hands on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR and MDM platforms
- Strong foundational knowledge of information security and common attacks, tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Experience mentoring engineers in incident leadership, detection engineering, and communications
- Experience building, tuning, and validating AI agents for security automation
Desired Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in a security role with significant incident response experience
- Proficiency in web applications and cloud technologies
- Hands on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR and MDM platforms
- Strong foundational knowledge of information security and common attacks, tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Nice to have: Experience with Google Workspace and/or GCP, Container technology
- Additional experience: CTI, penetration testing, network or system engineering
- Experience building, tuning, and validating AI agents, including running them alongside manual analysis
