Job Summary
Staff Scientist, Scientific Partnerships & Growth at the Immerse Lab in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, leads high-impact scientific engagements with biopharma and academic partners, drives instrument adoption through demonstrations and pilot studies, and translates customer needs into actionable insights for product development and commercialization. The role focuses on building strategic collaborations, generating high-quality data for decision-making, and advancing adoption of Waters Biosciences platforms, with leadership responsibilities in lab operations, customer workshops, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, marketing, and sales in a fast-paced, in-person setting.
Required Qualifications
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in Immunology, Oncology, or a related life science field with 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant industry experience)
- 6+ years of flow cytometry experience designing, performing, and analyzing single cell analysis assays
- 4+ years’ experience in spectral flow cytometry
- Proven track record of scientific publications and/or leading customer-facing scientific collaborations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both scientific and business audiences
- Strong organizational and execution skills, with the ability to manage complex collaborations and priorities
- Minimum 4 days of in-office presence per week in most roles (remote/field-based arrangements noted separately)
