Job Summary
The Jin Lab at Scripps Research is seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to lead research on genomics projects involving single cell and spatial genomic experiments and imaging analysis. Responsibilities include overseeing lab operations, mentoring trainees, and managing consortium collaborations. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. and at least two years of postdoctoral experience, along with strategic thinking and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific discipline
- Minimum of two years postdoctoral experience or four years’ experience in project management and/or leadership
- Strong oral and written communications skills coupled with effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing scientists and engineers to develop technical solutions to scientific problems
- Demonstrated experience working with a diverse set of colleagues, including scientists, engineers, administrators, and engagement managers
