Job Summary
Staff Safety Engineer to advance Serve Robotics' Safety Management System (SMS) across safety programs and incident response. Responsibilities include hazard identification and risk assessments, emergency response process improvements, leading cross-functional investigations and root-cause analyses, monitoring safety performance metrics, auditing safety-critical systems, and promoting safe behaviors and a strong safety culture. Requires collaboration across teams, clear communication, and the ability to drive scalable safety processes and documentation. Preferred experience includes startup environments, regulatory engagement, first-principles problem solving, and experience with autonomous/mobility systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering, safety, or related discipline
- 12+ years experience in engineering and/or safety management
- 5+ years experience in transportation or mobility sector
- 3+ years experience in a safety leadership or program ownership role
- 3+ years experience with autonomous vehicles
