Job Summary
Assess individualized patient needs and provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegate, direct, and oversee patient care for LPNs, PCAs, and Allied Health personnel, ensuring rapid and effective movement through the episode of care. Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices, utilizing therapeutic communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs. Document according to organizational standards and engage in workplace community activities, including data collection, auditing, and reporting updates to staff. Requires BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within five years, current Ohio Nursing License, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Willingness to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit

- Must be able to lift 41-60 lbs

- Must be able to practice professional nursing and promote patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses
- Must be able to assess individualized patient needs
- Must be able to plan, implement, educate and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices
- Must be able to utilize Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families
- Must be able to assist patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority
- Must be available for 24 hrs/week, evenings, every other weekend, holiday rotation
