Job Summary
Assess individualized patient needs and provide nursing care using a Family-Centered approach while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Communicate care priorities to assigned LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel. Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices while utilizing Therapeutic Communication to monitor physical, psychological, and social needs. Document according to organizational standards and participate in data collection or auditing to support Quality Improvement initiatives. This role involves a 16-hour weekly schedule with evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., rotating every other weekend and holidays. Candidates must hold a current Ohio Nursing License and a BSN or Associate degree with a commitment to obtain a BSN within five years.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Willingness to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit
