Job Summary
Inpatient Oncology RN on a full-time day shift at Stamford Health. Coordinate and deliver direct patient care using the Nursing Process, supervise non-RN personnel, and act as a resource for ancillary staff. Serve as a preceptor to new staff/students, coordinate and lead groups, document daily notes, and provide education to patients and families. Maintain adherence to policies, ensure patient safety and privacy, and collaborate with the health-care team to evaluate outcomes and readiness for discharge. Three 13-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred but not required, with CT RN licensure and BLS mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut
- BLS certification required
- Maintain a minimum of 6 contact hours annually
- Minimum of 2 years previous RN experience; acute care RN experience preferred
- BSN strongly preferred
