Staff RN-Observation Unit (7p-7a)

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment/diagnosis, outcomes identification/planning, implementation/evaluation, and participation in process improvement as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO) to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency. The role operates in a 24/7/365 environment within the Observation Unit and emphasizes professional nursing care, ongoing evaluation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve targeted clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
