Job Summary
Conduct IV placement and intravenous medication administration, including blood and blood product administration, for patients of all ages. Execute Endocrine provocative stimulation protocols and perform blood collection from peripherally placed IVs. Assess individualized patient needs and communicate care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel. Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices while documenting according to organizational standards. Provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with all disciplines to facilitate patient outcomes. Work part-time, 22 hours per week with on-call rotation for weekends and holidays. Requires current Ohio Nursing License, BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within five years, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- IV placement and intravenous medication administration for patients of all ages
- Administration of blood and blood products
- Follow a variety of Endocrine provocative stimulation protocols
- Blood collection from a peripherally placed IV
- Must pass Pediatric Dosage Calculation test at 100% accuracy
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification
- BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Some weekend and holiday on-call required
- Must be able to lift 41-60 lbs
