Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, assessing physical and psychosocial conditions while advocating for patient needs. Develop and communicate patient plans of care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and document daily group notes and treatment plans. Provide education based on learning needs, administer medications following the 5 rights, and respond to crises calmly. Supervise non-RN personnel, act as a preceptor, and participate in performance improvement, risk management, and clinical research activities. Maintain equipment, comply with all hospital policies, and complete required continuous training. Full-time nights shift (3x 13-hour shifts, 7pm to 8am) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years previous RN experience
- Maintain a minimum of 6 contact hours annually
- BSN strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years previous RN experience; acute care RN experience preferred
