Job Summary
Provides nursing care in the CTICU with rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Requires a BSN or commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years; must hold an Ohio RN license and CPR certification, with willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON as directed. Delivers developmentally appropriate patient care using a family-centered approach, collaborates with LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and allied health staff; utilizes evidence-based practices, maintains quality and safety standards, documents per policies, and contributes to quality improvement and staff meetings. Emphasizes strong communication, cultural competence, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a high-acuity environment.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other certifications as determined by manager
