Staff RN, C4B - NICU (Critical Care)

Job Summary
Assess individualized patient needs and provide nursing care using a family-centered approach in the NICU. Communicate care priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators, and allied health personnel while implementing evidence-based practices. Monitor physical, psychological, and social needs through therapeutic communication, document according to organizational standards, and participate in data collection or auditing to support quality improvement. Engage with the workplace community by representing staff at relevant meetings and reporting updates. Requires current Ohio nursing license, BSN or commitment to obtain within five years, and CPR certification. Schedule includes 36 hours weekly, nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., every other weekend, and rotating holidays.
Required Qualifications
- BSN; Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Willingness to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit
- Quality and safety patient care skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to provide culturally competent care with a demonstrated commitment to ensuring quality and safety initiatives
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit
- Must be available for every other weekend and rotating holiday requirement
- Must be available for nights, 7p- 7a
