Job Summary
Staff RN in Acute Rehab Unit provides direct nursing care to acutely ill patients, planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating care. Responsibilities include administering medications with IV therapy competency, supervising LVN/CNA and nursing students, adhering to nursing standards, participating in organization-wide Performance Improvement activities, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting teamwork and a positive work environment. Night shift (12 hours) union, non-exempt; requires CA RN licensure, ACLS/BLS as appropriate, and a minimum of an associate degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
Required Qualifications
- A current RN licensure in the State of California
- ACLS certification required when appropriate
- BLS certification required
- Associate degree in nursing or higher (Bachelor’s preferred)
- One-year acute care experience preferred
- Current RN experience in the specific service/department preferred
