Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acutely ill patients with medical/surgical or maternal-child health diagnoses. Administer IV therapy and medications while directing care provided by LVNs, CNAs, nursing students, and logistics technicians. Maintain unity and teamwork among coworkers, participate in performance improvement programs, and demonstrate competency in critical behaviors for the assigned area. Provide safe, therapeutic care for patients with complex, multisystem needs as a member of interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- A registered nurse with current RN experience in the specific service or department
- Current RN experience in assigned area of Nursing
- One-year acute care experience
- A current RN licensure in the State of California
- ACLS certification when appropriate
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Possess basic computer skills
