Job Summary
Staff Site Reliability Engineer (P4) in Chennai, India, leading cloud-hosted platform services with a focus on availability, operations, performance, capacity, security, and user experience. Provides technical and project leadership, mentors team members, and collaborates across global software-engineering groups. Responsibilities include cloud architecture and enhancements, design and management of infrastructure, automation and documentation, operational runbooks, and governance of AWS/Azure best practices. Requires extensive IT-operations experience, strong Linux/Windows deployment, scripting (Python or PowerShell/.NET), Git, and experience in incident, change, and capacity management; Kubernetes experience and familiarity with Jira/Jenkins/Azure DevOps and observability/monitoring tools are highly valued. This role emphasizes collaboration across global teams, with a balance of Indian and US time zones for stakeholder meetings and potential off-hours tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; OR equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 10 years in IT operations with networking, computing, and storage
- Minimum of 5 years in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments with at least 2 years in architect/design roles
- Experience with Windows and Linux deployment; scripting in Python or PowerShell/.NET; Git
- Strong incident, change, and capacity management experience
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication skills, and customer-service mindset
- Preferred: Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, observability/monitoring tools, SDLC/Agile processes
