Staff Registered Nurse - Special Care Unit - Various Shifts - per diem

Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care for pediatric through advanced-age patients using the nursing process and primary care principles. Assess and diagnose patient and family needs, document findings in the EMR, and perform admission assessments within six hours of arrival. Develop realistic problem lists and discharge plans in collaboration with patients and families, then implement medical plans of care and nursing interventions. Administer medications, blood products, and PCA/epidural pain management while verifying the five Rs and documenting I & O's. Reassess patient responses and modify care plans as needed to ensure quality outcomes. Maintain IV access, utilize appropriate PPE, and function as a role model for staff.
