Job Summary
Emergency Department RN provides emergent, high-acuity care for patients with potentially life-threatening conditions using the nursing process. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care; performing health assessments; initiating therapeutic and diagnostic procedures; collaborating with physicians; educating patients on health promotion and disease management; and documenting findings in the medical record. Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program, CT RN license, and CPR certification with attainment within 3 months if not currently certified. The role is part-time night shift in Putnam, CT, with a sign-on bonus up to $25,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Connecticut is required
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent is required; if not currently certified, must obtain within three (3) months of employment
