Job Summary
Staff Radiation Therapist responsible for on-site radiotherapy treatment delivery, patient education and care coordination, simulation and imaging support, QA and documentation in EMR, and collaboration across radiation oncology teams. Responsibilities include setting up and administering daily radiotherapy, maintaining patient confidentiality and informed consent, scheduling treatments, documenting treatment delivery in EMR, operating imaging and treatment planning tools (ET/ARIA/EPIC/Eclipse/LAP/LASERs), participating in simulations, brachytherapy procedures, MR-Linac workflows, and total body irradiation processes; rotating to different treatment areas as directed; providing clinical instruction and ensuring safety with pediatric and inpatient populations; and contributing to administrative and quality assurance tasks. Required skills include proficient operation of equipment, strong communication, organizational skills, problem solving, customer service, ability to work independently, adaptability to high-stress environments, and proficiency with Radiation Oncology Information Systems and hospital IT systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School + Certificate in radiation therapy or Associate Degree in Radiation Therapy
- Valid Massachusetts State License in Radiation Therapy
- Continued employment contingent upon obtaining valid ARRT certification within 6 months of hire date
- Valid BLS certification
