Job Summary
Define and drive global quality strategy, standards, and best practices across all brands, product categories, and regions. Establish and evolve enterprise-wide frameworks for Product Requirements Documents, validation, and risk management while serving as a subject matter expert in global toy safety regulations. Lead the development of advanced risk management methodologies, drive enterprise-level analysis of quality data to identify systemic issues, and establish standardized investigation and root cause methodologies. Partner with global manufacturing and supplier networks to drive capability development, influence product design by integrating quality considerations early, and represent Mattel in regulatory and external quality forums. Mentor engineering talent and lead large-scale continuous improvement initiatives to ensure best-in-class product quality and consumer safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in quality engineering, product development, or manufacturing
- Extensive experience working across global supply chains and regulatory environments
- Expertise in statistical analysis, reliability engineering, and risk management methodologies
- Proven track record of driving enterprise-level quality improvement
- Recognized technical expert in quality engineering and product safety
- Deep and broad knowledge of global toy and consumer product regulations
- Proven ability to influence at executive and enterprise levels
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead global initiatives and drive organizational change
- Strong mentoring capability and leadership presence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
