Job Summary
Staff QA Software Engineer focuses on preventing defects and raising the quality bar across teams. Responsibilities include designing for quality with Engineering and Tech Leads, reviewing test coverage across unit to end-to-end levels, contributing hands-on to testing and automation, setting up and amending QA frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, defining what constitutes good quality, owning quality metrics, leading initiatives around quality tooling, test data, environments, performance and security testing, developing comprehensive testing strategies for new features or system enhancements, identifying edge cases related to scalability and maintainability, collaborating with development and product teams to ensure early defect detection and smooth releases, and utilizing QA tooling and automation frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance or a related role
- Strong expertise in Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and C#
- Experience with pair programming is preferred
- Certifications/Licenses: Any professional testing certification is a plus
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) for non-English speaking countries
