Job Summary
Oversee moderate intensity teams at the Short Stay Unit and Rapid Access Stabilization Program, providing direct and indirect clinical care within interdisciplinary groups. Lead resident oversight, strategic planning, and quality assurance while delivering desk-side teaching and didactic education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Ensure seamless patient care through coverage for absences and collaboration with clinical academic leaders and community partners. Include on-call service and supervise junior staff including clinical clerks. Support research initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship in Psychiatry, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent as determined by the Department of Psychiatry
- eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
