Staff, Programs � Family Assistant

Support the Head Start program as a Staff, Programs – Family Assistant by collaborating with Northside staff to deliver high-quality services to children from birth through five years and their families. Responsibilities include strengthening family engagement through meetings and community partnerships; ensuring compliance with Head Start health and performance standards (physicals, immunizations, screenings); partnering with families to identify needs and connect them to Northside and community resources; facilitating Family Partnership Agreements with quarterly updates; conducting collaborative home visits to address educational and social service needs; maintaining accurate, timely, confidential documentation and mandated reporting; participating in trainings and reviews to support program accountability and improvement; promoting child well-being and development; recruiting and enrolling participants and managing waitlists; and communicating effectively with families, community members, managers, regulatory agencies, and groups. Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in a related field (AA) with a preferred Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Child Development, or related field, and Family Development Credentials (FDC) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
