Job Summary
Design roadway lighting systems and prepare engineering documents using computer-assisted design software. Perform signal timing analysis, develop lighting design criteria, and conduct photometric analysis to meet project specifications. Analyze field data, maps, and aerial photographs to plan projects, while visiting sites for light meter measurements and assessments. Prepare reports, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and impact studies in accordance with current codes. Collaborate within Traffic Engineering or Access Design teams to assist with contract specifications and technical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) years of experience
- Knowledge of CADD Software (MicroStation or AutoCAD or OpenRoads) and/or Lighting Design software (i.e., Agi32, Visual, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- EIT/FE or PE license
